Nourishing🍓, plant based🌱, oil free, refined sugar free, British Fruit Scones ☕️🥳🫖🌻

These were so easy to bake and we enjoyed our simple afternoon/‘cream’ tea immensely ☺️😊

Recipe
Ingredients:
175g wholemeal or white spelt flour
175g wholemeal wheat flour
3 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
80g chopped mixed dried fruit
65g cashew butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
About 250ml plant milk (add slowly)
2 tsp lemon juice

Method:
Mix all dry ingredients then add the wet and mix together with a knife till a dough forms adding the plant milk slowly after 170ml

Roll out to about 1 inch thick and cut into scones

Brush the tops with oat milk

Bake on a floured metal tray, like the beautiful @masoncashuk enamel one pictured, at 200C fan for 15-20 min until they sound hollow when the base is tapped

Serve with strawberry chia ‘jam’ (recipe coming soon 🥳) and cashew butter or whipped cashew cream
